The Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons (MAPS) seeks to:

• Encourage the highest standards of personal and professional conduct among plastic surgeons

• Provide the opportunity for the exchange of experiences, opinions, and ideas through an open forum of discussion, study, and presentations

• Promote the art and science of plastic surgery and to communicate to the general public pertinent advancements and improvements within the field

• Promote innovations and advancement in plastic surgery by continuing medical education

• Promote social interaction and recreation among fellow plastic surgeons within the state of Michigan
